The Los Angeles County includes 80 cities. To the north, the Santa Monica Mountains separate Hollywood and Beverly Hills in the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, neighboring county and home of Disneyland, along the coast to the southeast. Santa Monica and Venice, on the coast, are west of Beverly Hills, while the international airport is south of Venice. The downtown of the city (where you will find Union Station and the Amtrak station) is located east of Hollywood. Malibu is located west of Santa Monica.Despite the desert climate, the mountain range that stretches north and east of Los Angeles protects the city of variations in temperature and too high humidity. The months of August and September are the warmest; January and February are the coldest and wettest. The sea breezes bring some freshness in summer in the seaside towns and a little heat in winter inland, especially in the San Fernando Valley, where the temperature changes from one season to another are more important. It averaged 21 ° C in Los Angeles, but some summer days can reach 32 ° C in foggy weather. In addition, it is common for the thermometer to descend to 12 ° C in winter. On January 1, The Day Tournament of Roses Parade bands with cheerleaders, celebrities and floats covered with flowers parade along the Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena. In February, the African American History Month is an opportunity to attend film screenings, lectures, exhibitions and various events throughout the county. The most famous night is in LA, the Academy Awards night, which is held in March. In June, during the Gay Pride Week, a flamboyant parade marches into Santa Monica Blvd. The Summer Pops Festival runs from July to September at the Hollywood Bowl, while the International Surf Festival sweeping Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beach in August.Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona in September, is the largest county fair in the world with music, attractions, rides and other festivities typically American. The Hollywood Christmas Parade offers a striking contrast: the stars of small and big screen join a colorful parade with Santa and then go to Las Posadas processions where candlelit relive the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem and honor the child Jesus.Los Angeles is a veritable labyrinth. The city is full of freeways and sprawling neighborhoods. Unlike the vast majority of locations, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are not accessible by highway, but the wide avenues and streets of the city itself. The transport from the airport in Los Angeles is slow but economical. A free bus runs between the terminals and can drop you at the LAX Transit Center where you can take another bus to the city. Free shuttles travel to the Metro Green Line Aviation Station, where you will find trains going to Redondo or Norwalk. The city of Los Angeles is so extensive that the car is almost essential. Despite heavy traffic, it is not difficult to move in Los Angeles provided to stick to main thoroughfares. Many rent a car companies offer their services at the airport. The prices are cheaper than in town.Although Los Angeles is built for cars, it is possible to travel via public transportation. There are four bus companies: MTA, serving almost the entire city; Big Blue Bus, which travels the West Los Angeles Culver City Bus, which runs Westside and Culver City, and DASH, a minibus running on 4 routes through the city center. The lines of the Metro Rail going from downtown to Long Beach to Union Station at Western Ave and Norwalk to Redondo Beach. You can stay in Los Angeles in all seasons. In summer, the beaches may be crowded. If the idea ever crossed all these bodies carved to perfection makes you a little bit uncomfortable, prefer the spring (April and May) or fall (September-November) directly to avoid the crowd and benefit rates.Despite its reputation, Los Angeles is a not particularly dangerous city for travelers, provided they take some precautions. Avoid the disreputable neighborhoods, especially in the evening, including Venice Beach, South Central LA, East LA, and to a lesser extent, Downtown and Hollywood.

Benefits of Swimming During Pregnancy and Choosing Maternity Swimwear
Swimming is one of the best exercises you can do while you are pregnant. For all trimesters of your pregnancy, swimming is safe and provides you with a low-impact exercise with excellent cardiovascular benefits and low risk of injury.  Swimming improves your body’s ability to process and use oxygen as well as improved circulation, endurance and better muscle tone. Swimming can also help you sleep better at night, relax your muscles and help you burn excess pregnancy calories.

If you were a regular swimmer before pregnancy, then swimming while pregnant should be an easy transition. Remember to listen to your body and take it a little slower as you progress with your pregnancy so you do not overexert yourself as you are swimming for two now and your body has to work a lot harder than before. If you were not a regular swimmer before pregnancy, than check with your doctor or midwife first. You will need to take swimming gradually and listen to your body so you do not stretch your limits.

In the cooler months you will probably be swimming in an indoor pool or outdoor heated pool. Make sure that you remember to stay well-hydrated, even in the cooler months when you do not think about cooling down. When you are pregnant your body requires more fluids, particularly during exercise. It is a good idea to drink before swimming, about every 20 minutes while swimming and then after swimming. Also avoid caffeine beverages as they will dehydrate you.

If you are more of a light swimmer, the breast stroke is a good low-impact stroke to do when you are pregnant. This stroke makes it easy to get the oxygen you need and is a little less taxing on the body and lungs and easier to go a slower pace. Also the breast stroke can lengthen chest muscles and help align your back muscles which is particularly beneficial in your 3rd trimester when muscles in your back and chest can become misaligned.

As you tummy expands as early as the first trimester, it is a good idea to invest in a maternity swimsuit that is suitable for lap swimming. One piece suits are usually your best bet rather than the fashion maternity swimwear such as babydolls and tankinis which can fly around you in the water and make it harder to swim with all the extra floating material. The simplier and sleeker the suit the better it is for allowing you to glide naturally through the water and provide less water resistance. Also, look for a suit that is very stretchy with room to expand in both the bust and belly as you will continue to grow in those areas over the nine months of your pregnancy.

Some good one piece suits to consider are Prego’s Empire Tank and Texture Heart Swimsuit. Both of these styles are stretchy one piece maternity swimsuits that are designed for actually swimming laps in the pool. Both are made with 20% lycra that will give you some room to grow where you need it. If you are in between sizes or unsure which size to get, it’s best to buy up a size so you will have room to wear the suit for your entire pregnancy. Prego’s Empire Tank suit has exceptional bust support with a bra-link band in the back and wide adjustable shoulder straps. Both suits can accommodate a range of bust sizes.

If you were not a regular swimmer before, then you can try a kickboard, water aerobics or even just walking across the pool for low-impact water resistance exercise. Just about any style maternity swimwear would work for these types of pool exercises and are still a wonderful way to get a safe workout when pregnant. Some women prefer not to wear a strapless mini for pool exercising for obvious concerns. If the strapless mini is your preferred style, then look for one with a removable halter strap that you can wear in the pool for a little added security. The Prego Maternity Swimwear Strapless mini is very well made with a secure and fitted design around the top that actual provides bust support and a detachable halter strap.

So regardless of the season, check with your doctor about trying out swimming or pool exercises during your pregnancy for health benefits to both you and your baby.

Planning Ahead in a Clothing Store Business
Many have said that in among all kinds of businesses, a business that involves clothing is the easiest, most manageable type of business. A retail clothing business is one of the most popular trends in this industry so as wholesale clothing business. Since you came here to look for some tips on how to start a clothing retail business, I’ll give you just that. Here are some things that you should plan ahead before opening your clothing retail business:

Important elements in retail clothing business:

Location

Theme

Stock and Inventory

Supplier

Location

In every business that involves selling to the public, location is most important. Location dictates almost 70% of the success of this kind business, especially on a clothing retail business. It works like this; let’s say that your retail clothing store has all the collection of clothing line you can ever have. It also has the best interior and exterior design, the best ambiance or atmosphere, and the most talented manpower you can ever have. The problem here is, people can’t get to you because your store is nowhere to be found. Although marketing and advertising can get you the customers you needed, sticking to the basics is still the most appropriate way to get customers to visit your store.

Your chosen location must have the following classifications: visibility, affordability, and the lease term that you can handle. Finding these places is quite hard. But if you want a place that can provide you with the foot traffic that you needed, then the best place would be on shopping centers and/or on malls.

Malls and shopping centers are the perfect place for your business. The only things that you should consider about these places are competition and cost. These places may offer you the foot traffic and the visibility you need but then, these places are also jam-packed with competitors of which are veterans in running this kind of business. Also, setting up your business on these places, especially on malls, is pretty expensive. Those that set up business on a public setting such as malls are those with businesses outside of this place, or those that have the appropriate capital for renting a space in this place.

So take some time in making studies and research on the place you want your store to stand. Remember that shopping centers and malls aren’t the only places where people usually hang-out. Observe and make some studies on several places where foot traffic are very abundant. You might be lucky enough to set up shop on a highly populated place with minimal competition.

Theme

The theme of your clothing store business is also important. Now may not know these but there are several types of clothing stores out there. There are those that specializes in bridal or wedding gowns, business clothing, casual wear / rough gear / street clothes, children’s wear, couture, formal wear, lingerie, maternity store, men’s wear, special size (petites, plus size, tall, etc.,) sports wear / active wear, teen gear, women’s wear,  and so on.

The name of your store is also important. Think of a name that goes perfectly with your theme. It’s quite awkward to name your store “The Holy Matrimony” when all that you sell is maternity dresses. But don’t just think of any name. Think of a name that really makes an impact to those who read it. It’s more appropriate to name your store which can easily be remembered by people who are just passing by.

When it comes to competition, make your theme unique from others. This is done so people can distinguish your business as an individual, which is unique from other clothing stores.

Top quality wholesale clothing lines are what Seven Wholesale can provide their customers. Learn more of what Seven Wholesale can provide with their collection of wholesale clothing lines.

Stock and Inventory

Among the most time-consuming and expensive part of planning a clothing retail store is planning about your stock and inventory. Don’t take this for granted. If you’re the brain and head of your business, and the location of your business serves as the body, then the stock and inventory is the heart of your business. This is where you’ll be making your money. Take some time and make some research on the hottest trends in fashion clothing.

Visiting some online catalogs, Source : onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push([\'_trackPageview\', \'/outgoing/article_exit_link\']);\" http://www.sevenwholesale.com wholesale clothing marts, and online wholesale clothing shops can give you information on what people are currently wearing on the streets or on formal events. Talking with experts can also provide you some information on handling this kind of business. This is also a good chance to learn on their mistakes and failures, so the next time that you encounter what they’ve encountered, you’ll be ready.

Choosing on your stock and inventory may be a bit boring for some or fun for others, but remember to maintain a general theme and purpose for your products.

Supplier

The name pretty much says everything, your supplier. Suppliers are your source of power, like the sun for superman and the ring for the Green Lantern. Those s are your source of power. Without them, your business would be empty. Finding these s may seem hard, but if you check the internet, you’d be surprised of how many suppliers are out there, Seven Wholesale is one of many. Just key in “wholesale clothing” on Google or Yahoo! and you’re on your way.

But if you want a professional way of getting these s, then a trade show or trade magazines are the perfect places for you. In a trade show, you’ll find business men and women going out to get some of the latest trends in business. This is an event where it gathers together different people in the same industry. Wholesalers, distributors, dealers, and retailers just like you are common on these spots. This is a great chance for you to build a network of potential suppliers and hopefully find just the right product source.

Trade magazines, meanwhile, can be an inexpensive way to find companies with which you want to correspond. Scour them frequently for mentions of any companies that might offer the products you need, then try to find out whether they\'ll be exhibiting at any upcoming trade shows you can attend.

Now, these guidelines are there only to serve as your guide to starting your own clothing retail business. There are other issues such as personality issues that you should check before planning your business. These things are important in starting your own business, not just for clothing nor any other retail business, but to all kinds of businesses. The success of every business depends greatly on how good the owner handles it.

Check out what Seven Wholesale can provide with their Source : onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push([\'_trackPageview\', \'/outgoing/article_exit_link\']);\" http://www.sevenwholesale.com wholesale clothing collections and benefits. Visit Seven Wholesale for more details.

Here are some questions that I would like to ask you before planning on those things.

Are you Experienced enough?

Experience is the number 1 factor that contributes to the success of any businesses, particularly with a clothing store business. Through your experience from a previous work or from managing other line of business, you’ll be quite ready to face different difficulties ahead.

Are you the Risk Taker?

When you’re starting a business, you should be ready to face certain risks in your business. Any kind of businesses entails risks; risks in which you will have to face in time. Risks are there not as a road block, but as an opportunity to learn and to grow from. Taking risks is part of every businessmen or women’s business life so if you want to succeed in your end, then you’ll have to learn to see risks as a challenge and not as a road block.

Are you the Competitive type?

In this line of business, your competitive skills will be tested over and over again. As I’ve said earlier, in choosing your location, you should take into mind the competitors around your location. As much as possible, you should stir clear away from big branded clothing stores and from places where competitors of the same niche are all over place. However, if you want to compete against these s, here are some tips that you can use against them:

Check out what they provide. Observe what they can provide and cannot provide, this way you’ll know what products you’ll have to target.

Pay attention to the demographics in your area, the location and available foot traffic, to television and movies and what people are wearing on the street. This way, even when there’s a mall over there; people would visit your shop instead.

A good sense of competitiveness can go a long way in this line of business. Always remember that People can get everything that you sell at their local mall, so you have to set yourself apart other ways.

For supplier services in a retail clothing business, Seven Wholesale’s wholesale clothing collection can provide more than its fashion and its styles. Musab Ibn Umayr, Stories of The Sahaba

Musab Ibn Umayr

Musab ibn Umayr was born and grew up in the lap of affluence and luxury. His rich parents lavished a great deal of care and attention on him. He wore the most expensive clothes and the most stylish shoes of his time. Yemeni shoes were then considered to be very elegant and it was his privilege to have the very best of these. As a youth he was admired by the Quraysh not only for his good looks and style but for his intelligence. His elegant bearing and keen mind endeared him to the Makkan nobility among whom he moved with ease. Although still young, he had the privilege of attending Quraysh meetings and gatherings. He was thus in a position to know the issues which concerned the Makkans and what their attitudes and strategies were.

Among Makkans there was a sudden outburst of excitement and concern as Muhammad, known as al-Amin (the Trustworthy), emerged saying that God had sent him as a bearer of good tidings and as a warner. He warned the Quraysh of terrible chastisement if they did not turn to the worship and obedience of God and he spoke of Divine rewards for the righteous. The whole of Makkah buzzed with talk of these claims. The vulnerable Quraysh leaders thought of ways of silencing Muhammad. When ridicule and persuasion did not work, they embarked on a campaign of harassment and persecution. Musab learnt that Muhammad and those who believed in his message were gathering in a house near the hill of as-Safa to evade Quraysh harassment. This was the house of al-Arqam. To satisfy his curiosity, Musab proceeded to the house undererred by the knowledge of Quraysh hostility. There he met the Prophet teaching his small band of companions, reciting the verses of the Quran to them and performing Salat with them in submission to God, the Great, the Most High. The Prophet welcomed him, and with his noble hand tenderly touched Musab\'s heart as it throbbed with excitement. A deep feeling of tranquility came over him. Musab was totally overwhelmed by what he had seen and heard. The words of the Quran had made a deep and immediate impression on him.

In this first meeting with the Prophet, the young and decisive Musab declared his acceptance of Islam. It was a historic moment. The keen mind of Musab, his tenacious will and determination, his eloquence and his beautiful character were now in the service of Islam and would help change the course of men\'s destinies and of history. On accepting Islam, Musab had one major concern - his mother. Her name was Khunnas bint Malik. She was a woman of extraordinary power. She had a dominant personality and could easily arouse fear and terror. When Musab became a Muslim, the only power on earth he might have feared was his mother. All the powerful nobles of Makkah and their attachment to pagan customs and traditions were of little consequence to him. Having his mother as an opponent, however, could not be taken lightly. Musab thought quickly. He decided that he should conceal his acceptance of Islam until such time as a solution should come from God.

He continued to frequent the House of al-Arqam and sit in the company of the Prophet. He felt serene in his new faith and by keeping all indications of his acceptance of Islam away from her, he managed to stave off his mother\'s wrath, but not for long. It was difficult during those days to keep anything secret in Makkah for long. The eyes and ears of the Quraysh were on every road. Behind every footstep imprinted in the soft and burning sand was a Quraysh informer. Before long, Musab was seen as he quietly entered the House of al-Arqam, by someone called Uthman ibn Talhah. At another time, Uthman saw Musab praying in the same manner as Muhammad prayed. The conclusion was obvious. As winds in a storm, the devastating news of Musab\'s acceptance of Islam spread among the Quraysh and eventually reached his mother. Musab stood before his mother, his clan and the Quraysh nobility who had all gathered to find out what he had done and what he had to say for himself.

With a certain humility and calm confidence, Musab acknowledged that he had become a Muslim and no doubt he explained his reasons for so doing. He then recited some verses of the Quran - verses which had cleansed the hearts of the believers and brought them back to the natural religion of God. Though only few in number, their hearts were now filled with wisdom, honor, justice and courage. As Musab\'s mother listened to her son on whom she had lavished so much care and affection, she became increasingly incensed. She felt like silencing him with one terrible . But the hand which shot out like an arrow staggered and faltered before the light which radiated from Musab\'s serene face. Perhaps, it was her mother\'s love which restrained her from actually beating him, but still she felt she had to do something to avenge the gods which her son had forsaken. The solution she decided upon was far worse for Musab than a few s could ever have been. She had Musab taken to a far corner of the house. There he was firmly bound and tethered. He had become a prisoner in his own home.

For a long time, Musab remained tied and confined under the watchful eyes of guards whom his mother had placed over him to prevent him from any further contact with Muhammad and his faith. Despite his ordeal, Musab did not waver. He must have had news of how other Muslims were being harassed and tortured by the idolators. For him, as for many other Muslims, life in Makkah was becoming more and more intolerable. Eventually he heard that a group of Muslims were preparing secretly to migrate to Abyssinia to seek refuge and relief. His immediate thoughts were how to escape from his prison and join them. At the first opportunity, when his mother and his warders were off-guard, he managed to slip away quietly. Then with utmost haste he joined the other refugees and before long they sailed together across the Red Sea to Africa. Although the Muslims enjoyed peace and security in the land of the Negus, they longed to be in Makkah in the company of the noble Prophet. So when a report reached Abyssinia that the conditions of the Muslims in Makkah had improved, Musab was among the first to return to Makkah. The report was in fact false and Musab once again left for Abyssinia. Whether he was in Makkah or Abyssinia,

Musab remained strong in his new faith and his main concern was to make his life worthy of his Creator.

When Musab returned to Makkah again, his mother made a last attempt to gain control of him and threatened to have him tied up again and confined. Musab swore that if she were to do that, he would kill everyone who helped her. She knew very well that he would carry out this threat for she saw the iron determination he now had. Separation was inevitable. When the moment came, it was sad for both mother and son but it revealed a strong Persistence in kufr on the part of the mother and an even greater persistence in iman on the part of the son. As she threw him out of her house and cut him off from all the material comforts she used to lavish on him, she said: \"Go to your own business. I am not prepared to be a mother to you.\" Musab went up close to her and said: \"Mother, I advise you sincerely. I am concerned about you. Do testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.\" \"I swear by the shooting stars, I shall not enter your religion even if my opinion is ridiculed and my mind becomes impotent,\" she insisted. Musab thus left her home and the luxury and comforts he used to enjoy.

The elegant, well-dressed youth would henceforth be seen only in the coarsest of attire. He now had more important concerns. He was determined to use his talents and energies in acquiring knowledge and in serving God and His Prophet. One day, several years later, Musab came upon a gathering of Muslims sitting around the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. They bowed their heads and lowered their gaze when they saw Musab, and some were even moved to tears. This was because his jalbab was old and in tatters and they were immediately taken back to the days before his acceptance of Islam when he was a model of sartorial elegance. The Prophet looked at Musab, smiled gracefully and said: \"I have seen this Musab with his parents in Makkah. They lavished care and attention on him and gave him all comforts. There was no Quraysh youth like him. Then he left all that seeking the pleasure of God and devoting himself to the service of His

Prophet.\" The Prophet then went on to say: \"There will come a time when God will grant you victory over Persia and Byzantium. You would have one dress in the morning and another in the evening and you would eat out of one dish in the morning and another in the evening.\" In other words, the Prophet predicted that the Muslims would become rich and powerful and that they would have material goods in plenty. The companions sitting around asked the Prophet: \"O Messenger of Allah, are we in a better situation in these times or would we be better off then?\" He replied: \"You are rather better off now than you would be then. If you knew of the world what I know you would certainly not be so much concerned with it.\" On another occasion, the Prophet talked in a similar vein to his companions and asked them how they would be if they could have one suit of clothes in the morning and another in the evening and even have enough material to put curtains in their houses just as the Kabah was fully covered. The companions replied that they would then be in a better situation because they would then have sufficient sustenance and would be free for ibadah (worship). The Prophet however told them that they were indeed better off as they were.

After about ten years of inviting people to Islam, most of Makkah still remained hostile. The noble Prophet then went to Taif seeking new adherents to the faith. He was repulsed and chased out of the city. The future of Islam looked bleak. It was just after this that the Prophet chose Musab to be his \"ambassador\" to Yathrib to teach a small group of believers who had come to pledge allegiance to Islam and prepare Madinah for the day of the great Hijrah. Musab was chosen above companions who were older than he or were more closely related to the Prophet or who appeared to possess greater prestige. No doubt Musab was chosen for this task because of his noble character, his fine manners and his sharp intellect. His knowledge of the Quran and his ability to recite it beautifully and movingly was also an important consideration. Musab understood his mission well. He knew that he was on a sacred mission; to invite people to God and the straight path of Islam and to prepare what was to be the territorial base for the young and struggling Muslim community.

He entered Madinah as a guest of Sad ibn Zurarah of the Khazraj tribe. Together they went to people, to their homes and their gatherings, telling them about the Prophet, explaining Islam to them and reciting the Quran. Through the grace of God, many accepted Islam. This was especially pleasing to Musab but profoundly alarming to many leaders of Yathribite society. Once, Musab and Sad were sitting near a well in an orchard of the Zafar clan. With them were a number of new Muslims and others who were interested in Islam. A powerful notable of the city, Usayd ibn

Khudayr, came up brandishing a spear. He was livid with rage. Sad ibn Zararah saw him and told Musab: \"This is a chieftain of his people. May God place truth in his heart.\" \"If he sits down, I will speak to him,\" replied Musab, displaying all the calm and tact of a great daiy. The angry Usayd shouted abuse and threatened Musab and his host. \"Why have you both come to us to corrupt the weak among us? Keep away from us if you want to stay alive.\" Musab smiled a warm and friendly smile and said to Usayd: \"Won\'t you sit down and listen? If you are pleased and satisfied with our mission, accept it and if you dislike it we would stop telling you what you dislike and leave.\" \"That\'s reasonable,\" said Usayd and, sticking his spear in the ground, sat down. Musab was not compelling him to do anything. He was not denouncing him. He was merely inviting him to listen. If he was satisfied, well and good. If not, then Musab would leave his district and his clan without any fuss and go to another district.

Musab began telling him about Islam and recited the Quran to him. Even before Usayd spoke, it was clear from his face, now radiant and expectant, that faith had entered his heart. He said: \"How beautiful are these words and how true! What does a person do if he wants to enter this religion?\" \"Have a bath, purify yourself and your clothes. Then utter the testimony of Truth (Shahadah), and perform Salat. Usayd left the gathering and was absent for only a short while. He returned and testified that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. He then prayed two rakats and said: \"After me, there is a man who if he follows you, everyone of his people will follow him. I shall send him to you now. He is \'Sad ibn Muadh.\" Sad ibn Muadh came and listened to Musab. He was convinced and satisfied and declared his submission to God. He was followed by another important Yathribite, Sad ibn Ubadah. Before long, the people of Yathrib were all in a flurry, asking one another. \"If Usayd ibn Khudayr, Sad ibn Muadh and Sad ibn Ubadah have accepted the new religion, how can we not follow? Let\'s go to Musab and believe with him. They say that truth emanates from his lips.\"

The first ambassador of the Prophet, peace be on him, was thus supremely successful. The Prophet had chosen well. Men and women, the young and the old, the powerful and the weak accepted Islam at his hands. The course of Yathribite history had been changed forever. The way was being prepared for the great Hijrah. Yathrib was soon to become the center and the base for the Islamic state. Less than a year after his arrival in Yathrib, Musab returned to Makkah. It was again in the season of pilgrimage. With him was a group of seventy-five Muslims from Madinah. Again at Aqabah, near Mina, they met the Prophet. There they solemnly undertook to defend the Prophet at all cost. Should they remain firm in their faith, their reward, said the Prophet, would be nothing less than Paradise. This second bayah or pledge which the Muslims of Yathrib made came to be called the Pledge of War. From then on events moved swiftly. Shortly after the Pledge, the Prophet directed his persecuted followers to migrate to Yathrib where the new Muslims or Ansar (Helpers) had shown their willingness to give asylum and extend their protection to the afflic ted Muslims. The first of the Prophet\'s companions to arrive in Madinah were Musab ibn Umayr and the blind Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum. Abdullah also recited the Quran beautifully and according to one of the Ansar, both Musab and Abdullah recited the Quran for the people of Yathrib.

Musab continued to play a major role in the building of the new community. The next momentous situation in which we meet him was during the great Battle of Badr. After the battle was over, the Quraysh prisoners of war were brought to the Prophet who assigned them to the custody of individual Muslims. \"Treat them well,\" he instructed. Among the prisoners was Abu Aziz ibn Umayr,

the brother of Musab. Abu Aziz related what happened: \"I was among a group of AnsarWhenever they had lunch or dinner they would give me bread and dates to eat in obedience to the Prophet\'s instructions to th em to treat us well. \"My brother, Musab ibn Umayr, passed by me and said to the man from the Ansar who was holding me prisoner: \'Tie him firmly His mother is a woman of great wealth and maybe she would ransom him for you.\'\" Abu Aziz could not believe his ears. Astonished, he turned to Musab and asked: \"My brother, is this your instruction concerning me?\" \"He is my brother, not you,\" replied Musab thus affirming that in the battle between iman and kufr, the bonds of faith were stronger than the ties of kinship.

At the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet called upon Musab, now well-known as Musab al-Khayr (the Good), to carry the Muslim standard. At the beginning of the battle, the Muslims seemed to be gaining the upper hand. A group of Muslims then went against the orders of the Prophet and deserted their positions. The mushrikin forces rallied again and launched a counterattack. Their main objective, as they cut through the Muslim forces, was to get to the noble Prophet. Musab realized the great danger facing the Prophet. He raised the standard high and shouted the takbir. With the standard in one hand and his sword in the other, he plunged into the Quraysh forces. The odds were against him. A Quraysh horseman moved in close and severed his right hand. Musab was heard to repeat the words: \"Muhammad is only a Messenger. Messengers have passed away before him,\" showing that however great his attachment was to the Prophet himself, his struggle above all was for the sake of God and for making His word supreme. His left hand was then severed also and as he held the standard between the stumps of his arms, to console himself he repeated: \"Muhammad is only a Messenger of God. Messengers have passed away before him.\" Musab was then hit by a spear. He fell and the standard fell. The words he repeated, every time he was struck were later revealed to the Prophet and completed, and became part of the Quran.

After the battle, the Prophet and his companions went through the battlefield, bidding farewell to the martyrs. When they came to Musab\'s body, tears flowed. Khabbah related that they could not find any cloth with which to shroud Musab\'s body, except his own garment. When they covered his head with it, his legs showed and when his legs were covered, his head was exposed and the Prophet instructed: \"Place the garment over his head and cover his feet and legs with the leaves of the idhkhir (rue) plant.\" The Prophet felt deep pain and sorrow at the number of his companions who were killed at the Battle of Uhud. These included his uncle Hamzah whose body was horribly mutilated. But it was over the body of Musab that the Prophet stood, with great emotion. He remembered Musab as he first saw him in Makkah, stylish and elegant, and then looked at the short burdah which was now the only garment he possessed and he recited the verse of the Quran:

\"Among the believers are men who have been true to what they have pledged to God.\" The Prophet then cast his tender eyes over the battle field on which lay the dead companions of Musab and said: \"The Messenger of God testifies that you are martyrs in the sight of God on the day of Qiyamah.\" Then turning to the living companions around him he said: \"O People! Visit them, send peace on them for, by Him in whose hand is my soul, any Muslim who sends peace on them until the day of Qiyamah, they would return the salutation of peace.\" As-salaamu alayka yaa Musab As-salaamu alaykum, ma\'shar ash-shudhadaa. As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu. Peace be on you, O Musab Peace be on you all, O martyrs. . Peace be on you and the mercy and blessings of God

SSON: Innovation is much discussed within shared services today. What does it actually mean? Michael Lockard: Innovation, to us, is doing something new, doing it differently; in fact, we got the dictionary out. It\'s not about technology, or state of the art, or best in class. And what\'s new for Wal-Martâ€"we\'re only a 47-year old companyâ€"isn\'t necessarily new to others. In fact, we had to do a lot of retraining because many folks still believe innovation is basically about technology. Our innovation sub-committee focuses on process and technology: the right people and the right process technology. A lot of it is about the design of the process. How do you design innovation into the process? And to be honest, that\'s what we\'re lacking. In the customer contact center, how do you build customer engagement into the actual design? â€"Self-service, tier 1, tier 2, tier 3 … that\'s where we\'re innovating, in terms of how we design the process. It\'s in the incremental parts that you\'re going to get most of your valuable feedback. For example: how does the hourly associate, who impacts the customer, do things differently? We reward staff by giving them $1000 for every innovative idea they deliver, as a result of which a process is changed for the better. But to specifically answer your questionâ€"how do you handle innovation in the design of the process?â€" really, project managers handle the strategy but the customer facing associates come up with the ideas, and we reward them by submitting and implementing those ideas.

Phyllis Alesio:For us, at Boehringer-Ingelheim, innovation is seen as the competitive edge that everyone has to participate in, especially when you have customers like Wal-Mart that are just an innovative. They\'re expecting their business partners to do the same. So for us, innovation is about doing business correctly for the future and bringing value to the customer. It\'s tied to everyone\'s goals and objectives for the year. We\'re just now really attempting to determine what tools you can use to assist people to be innovative and reward them, because, really, in the past you were rewarded for doing what you were told to do and not to think outside of the box.

Richard Rowan:I think Phyllis kind of touched on our definition of innovation, which is to think outside the box. For me, one of the challenges would be in the personnel area, especially in North America, with the travel restrictions we have in place now, and everything. I\'m spending a lot more time in the States these days, and I\'ve been trying to bring in people who can ask, \"Why not? Why can\'t we do this or that?\" I see a lot of that sort of thinking in my global process centers. As for stepping outside the box, we\'re trying to move into areas we haven\'t historically been involved in. One of the reasons I like to come to this conferenceâ€"and last year I brought my entire staffâ€"is because it\'s an opportunity to meet with the leading edge as far as suppliers are concerned. The exhibit room is one of the best places as far as finding out what\'s emerging from OB10 and others in this space, for example. Those organizations can help me find the resources to drive the innovations I need.

Gary Critchley:Innovation is one of our core values at Marks & Spencer. It\'s about changing the culture, rewiring the DNA, and getting people to think, whenever they sit down and look at a process, \"Is this the best way of doing it?\" If everyone\'s doing that, then we have the energy to make things happen. Once we have the innovation spirit going, then we add some structure around it. We train people in \"creative thinking,\" for example. Or we\'ll run \"outrageous opposites\" sessions to get the ideas flowing. We give people the tools so they can start thinking about how to get there. Other things we\'ve introduced include \"outcome thinking,\" where we focus on the outcome we want firstâ€"then work out how to get there. In other words: forget about the process. For bigger projects, we\'ll reengineer a processâ€"hang it on a wall and take it apart, looking at what is value-add and what not. So there are two approaches here: one is creating a mindset, and then creating a structure and framework around the mindset. The framework is the easy bit: lots of people can tell you how to evaluate and redesign. The culture is the difficult bit because it requires energy, commitment and it\'s harder.

Paul Bartley:I think we\'d define innovation as \"a changed way of thinking.\" It\'s usually in response to something outside the organization that makes you have to change, in order to have a closer understanding of what your customers need. Otherwise it\'s just change for change\'s sake, and there\'s no value there.     There are a number of ways we\'re driving innovation at the Program Support Center: firstly, by empowering the managers to make changes and propose changes. Right now we are very hierarchical, pretty much run from the top down. So there\'s no reward for innovation. If you have a great idea and try to implement it, but it\'s not the favorite idea of someone at the top, you may be slapped down. We\'re trying to change that. I\'m trying to change my part of it, trying to get people to events like this one to encounter new ideas and then empower them to make the changes. It may be as simple as putting something online. What\'s important is to offer rewards, as the others have already mentioned. We offer spot cash awards for ideas and we try to reward people right away.

SSON:  Let\'s look at the cultural challenge to start. Gary mentioned encouraging creative thinking at Marks & Spencer. Can you expend on how you are doing that?Gary Critchley:We\'re primarily trying to empower people and get rid of gradism, instead, encouraging a democracy of ideas. That starts with the leadership team, because if they\'re closing down ideas, it won\'t work. Another thing is to offer people opportunities to be empowered. We have a meeting space that is quite large, and we asked our staff: what do you want to do with it? So they turned it into an ideas labâ€"basically, an empty room with bean bags, which provides a space which is first, theirs, and second, a place in which to be creative. So we\'ve given them some ownership. We\'ve also provided a number of tools to help them think creatively. So say they\'ve done some outcome thinking and know what the outcomes needs to be, but are stuck on how to get there. We offer a toolkit that includes things like \"outrageous opposites. It works like this: Questionâ€"What do you want to do? Answerâ€"Pay people on time. Questionâ€"Ok, so what\'s the opposite of that? Answerâ€"Not to pay them at all. … This generates a lot of creativity and a ton of ideas in a relatively short space. The ideas lab is used for our \"Lean Finance\" programs. One week every month we\'ll lead two processes there. We\'ll bring the process owners from the floor and give them the opportunity to step away from their work and the phone, and think about whether they are doing things in the best way possible. We have an investment portfolio and I know exactly which \"Lean\" programs we are investing in. Right now I know we have 10 programs, nine of which are loss leaders, and one of which is a star. When that one pays back, it\'ll fund all the others. Also, we operate these projects as blitz-Kaizen weeks, which means we have just five days to map, value, measure, redesign and implement. It\'s all about action. We haven\'t actually gone the Black Belt route though. It\'s more about getting things done than focusing on credentials.

Phyllis Alesio: Gary, what was one of your \"AHA\" moments? Could you share that?

Gary Critchley: Well, one jumps to mind which relates to SAP licenses and which will save us around $120,000. A junior grade came up with this. We know that there are some people out in the business that raise only one or two purchase orders a month, whereas we have a central team. So we rationalized the people with low volume transactions, got rid of their licenses and brought the work into the center

SSON: Phyllis, what are you doing within your organization to encourage new ideas?Phyllis Alesio: We have a couple of new initiatives. One is to reach outside the pharmaceutical industry. Just because we\'ve done this for 120 years doesn\'t mean it\'s the right way. What is the auto industry doing? Is there some kind of application that we can bring in and apply, or maybe modify? We also have a corporate initiative going on, whereby the whole company is looking to redesign the way we work. It\'s called \"the workplace of the future.\" Tele-working is a big part of this. It\'s all about getting rid of cubicles and being a mobile worker, working from home or from Starbucks. But when you\'re here at work, it\'s about collaborating and exchanging ideas. It\'s about creating a workspace that supports this, with lots of light and windowsâ€"proven to make people more creative.

Michael Lockard: As we are a lean Six Sigma organization, we\'re not naturally that innovative. We are more likely to teach a DMAIC philosophy. We probably place too much emphasis on the actual certification as opposed to the results, so I\'m definitely going to take the \"two processes a month\" idea away with me. I think we need to refocus on actually getting something done as opposed to having 20 people certified. We might be rewarding the person too much as opposed to the process and the results. I think I\'ll be stealing a lot of ideas from Marks &Spencer!

Richard Rowan: We\'re really focused on building the culture side of our operations. Right now I\'m focused on North America. We do have requirements for process improvements, and we\'ve taken that internationally. What I\'ve found is that our shared services group in Poland is naturally doing this kind of thinking, on their own. That is not what I am seeing over here. At the lower level, what I\'m trying to do is build on the culture and right now that\'s getting the right people in place. But I also have meetings on a global basis with the entire group where I try to drive these types of things. Too often, you\'re busy delivering and just hitting the next target. It\'s interesting because supervisors have been so focused on delivering that it\'s not a natural step to start thinking of creatively leveraging their resources, particularly if that involves sending work offshore. The scope of what we do in North America right now is very small compared to what we\'re doing in Poland and Mexico. We are constantly under pressure as far as headcount reductions and cost are concernedâ€"as you\'d expect from the auto industry. I\'m trying to creatively leverage my global organization, shift work, and set some goals. It\'s really about working with people and showing them possibilities. I\'m trying to push the whole innovation process by driving it through the HR evaluations every year. My role is to be a catalyst. Years ago I was more focused on the operations side. Now I\'m trying to drive the future. It\'s tough to create an environment where people aren\'t afraid to bring things up, or make mistakes. There are amazing possibilities out there, from a technology standpoint. Our job is to make things happen with the resources we have. It\'s kind of like chess, except you\'re playing with multiple boards around the world. So you shouldn\'t be shy about asking for resourcesâ€"you never know when someone is going to say yes.

Phyllis Alesio: You\'d mentioned that Poland does a good job with processes. Can you talk about that some more?

Richard Rowan: Part of it is that we\'re a relatively young organization in Poland, and the culture is one that is very interested in succeeding and will do whatever it takes to succeed. We recently shifted Global Process Ownership for Accounts Payable from one of our US-based people to a person in Poland and the exponential step up has been amazing; he\'s proactively going out there anddoing things. The group I have right now in the US is one that has been around for a while. I\'m almost looking at ways to improve my turnover here in the USâ€"it\'s too low. So as we\'ve hired people in the US, I\'ve been interviewing them to make sure we\'re hiring folks who make others a bit uncomfortable, who disrupt. In general ledger, we\'ve hired someone recently who\'s gone far and above the norm. This is a person just a few years out of college. That\'s where you begin to see what\'s possible. Long-established folks would have said much of what has recently been achieved is not possible. So this opens up their minds to the possibilities. The new centers in Poland and Mexico now have everyone on edge. I\'m trying to leverage this, so everybody rises.

Paul Bartley: This is something we\'re going through too. One of the initiatives I\'ve got under way right now is to empower the people on the front lines. We provide 60 different services, including finance, acquisitions, IT, occupational health services, etc. The 60 managers running those services vary in terms of what they think their job entails.  To date we\'ve concentrated on improving a few areas, one of which is travel. We run travel for all of HHS, so any employee at the agency who goes anywhere uses our system to create an authorization, book their travel, and then get reimbursed for expenses on the back end. The manager we brought in a year ago has completely turned the place around. The interface with the customer is now much easier, communications on policy and how to use this system have improved, and what you can and can\'t do is all much clearer now. We had an issue with the online system being down for a week a while ago, but the manager had set up segmented lists based on likely audiences (system users, approvers, travelers, etc.) and he was able to communicate with each group to tell them what they needed to know at the appropriate time to get the work done. In fact, it turned out not to be such a big crisis after all. We now use him as an example. For instance, I\'ve asked my payroll group: what if payroll shuts down? Have you thought about what you\'re going to do? Who would you talk to?  How?

Now I\'m trying to create a new role, to be called a Service Manager role, that will help other managers to be empowered to improve their services, much like the travel manager.  Right now my managers tend to be very technical. If you\'re the Security head, you probably know a lot about security, but very likely not much about budgets or hiring people. We\'re challenging each one of the 60 managers to obtain these \"business skills\" and I think what will happen is that some of the ones who\'ve been around awhile, who don\'t have these extra skills, will think it\'s too much work and let someone else do it. They\'ll become experts in the functional area and someone with more business acumen can step into the service manager role. It\'s really about creating business owners. I want to be able to ask each of those 60 people: \"Why\'s the budget like this?\" and not have them tell me, \"Well, go ask the budget .\" We need people to step into a fresh role not necessarily being technical experts, but knowing how to get in and ask the questions. That\'s innovation: coming in and looking at stuff in a different way.

Michael Lockard:What\'s changed is that the old model is no longer sustainable. It used to be that if you were the expert, you could get in there yourself and fix problems. If you saved a couple of percentage points every year, that got you a raise. Now we want 10-20% improvement every year. You can\'t do that by yourself, so you have to get the right people on board. I think you see more people programs now because we all realize that we have to be the strategy people. Our jobs have changed, we\'re more of the general manager type now, and we\'re trying to find people like us to help raise the bar.

Paul Bartley:I agree. I think there are historical reasons. When this all started, it was the payroll person\'s job to drive payroll processing costs to the leanest they could be. Now it\'s time to put someone in there that isn\'t so much of a technical expert that asks, \"Why are we paying people in this way at all?\" That\'s the person who can take us to the next step. Once you get to that high level and they want another 15% cut out, it requires a quantum leap to something else.

Michael Lockard: I remember the 80s, when it was all about paying for your incremental raise.  So you worked on eking out that additional 3-4%. That was when companies were still growing, and as a percentage of sales, expenses were held in check. Now, with sales abysmal, it\'s all about cost control and discipline. We\'ve never been so valuable to our companies. This is a time for us to shine.

Best Positions For The Man With A Small Penis - Giving Your Woman Orgasms In Small Situations
This article will show you three positions to give your woman orgasm and be fully satisfied even with if you have a small penis.

Position No. 1: The Slow Climb

Here, the woman lies on her back while the man kneels down in between her legs and enters her. When the man\'s penis is inside, he should bend forward just enough so that his pubic bone is also rubbing her clitoris. For a deeper penetration, the woman should bring her legs up and wrap it around her man\'s waist. Erotic Extra: To experience an even better sensation for both partners and give your woman orgasm faster, you may place a couple of pillows under the woman\'s hips to lift it up.

Position No. 2: The 69

In this famous position, the woman is still on her back while the man is on top of her facing her vagina. This will give him full access to her most sensitive areas, her vulva and clitoris. The man should lick her thighs, the area surrounding her vagina, her clitoris and her vagina. As she becomes more excited, he should keep on licking and sucking her clitoris to induce a mind-ing orgasm.

Erotic Extra: Just before oral sex, use a warm lubricant to massage her vagina - this will intensify her clitoral orgasm.

Position No. 3: Table Fun

The woman should sit on the edge of the table with her legs stretched open to accept her man\'s penis. When the man\'s penis is inside her vagina, she should then bend backward and wrap her legs around her man for better penetration.

More hot tips to make your woman orgasm despite having a small penis:

Tip No. 1 Make your foreplay very sensual and take it slow. By doing this, you are letting her become more and more aroused and will make her very wet down there. This will definitely increase the possibility of giving her an earth-shattering climax.

Tip No. 2 Make sure she has a clitoral orgasm by oral stimulation first before you penetrate her with your penis. This will bring your sexual experience to new heights.

Tip No. 3 For a maximum stimulation in her vagina, keep the penetration shallow as all her sensitive nerve endings are located just up to 3 inches inside.

Weight Loss Miracle - Self-hypnosis Plus the South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is one of the most widely used ways to lose weight today. It is based around diet and lifestyle changes that help you steadily lose weight. By cutting out \"bad\" fats and carbohydrates and having plenty of \"good\" ones, dieters can take weight off without feeling deprived or sacrificing their health. There are three stages in the diet program. During the first phase, dieters avoid all carbohydrates except for vegetables. Although many foods are restricted, dieters still have a wide range of foods they can eat. The first phase is the most difficult phase, but also the shortest since it only takes fourteen days. Dieters can expect to lose around ten pounds during this time. In phase two, dieters begin incorporating the previously banned carb-rich foods into their meals. Dieters are expected to lose 1 to 2 pounds each week while steadily raising the volume of carbohydrates they eat. The second phase lasts until dieters attain their target weight. The third phase is the maintenance phase. Dieters utilize their healthy eating strategies from phase two to maintain their goal weight throughout the duration of their lives. If dieters start to put on weight, they may go back to the first phase of the diet. It is likely that you have seen pre-prepared South Beach meals and snacks sold in stores. These items are handy, but you do not need to buy them in order to follow the diet. You only need to commit to the different general guidelines for each phase of the diet. During phase one of the diet, you are permitted to consume lean meats, such as turkey, chicken, and fish, eggs, most vegetables, nuts, and a limited amount of dairy products. Fruit juices and fruit are not eaten during this phase because they are high in sugar. Also banned are all carbohydrates, fatty cuts of meat, alcohol, and a few vegetables that are rather high in sugar content, such as corn. The point of this phase is to ban \"bad\" carbohydrates from your diet and initiate the process of losing weight. During the second phase, dieters gradually reintroduce fruit, whole grains, and other banned foods into their diet. In the process, dieters learn how to adjust their diet to maintain a desirable weight. Once this is successfully accomplished, the diet moves into the life maintenance phase, in which dieters attempt to maintain the healthy habits that brought them to their desired weight. The factor for success with the South Beach program is committing to eating healthy. Although that appears easy, this diet program and most other diet programs stop working because dieters abandon the diet before the program can achieve results. The challenges that most dieters have with weight loss often result from deep-rooted issues such as a lack of drive to lose weight, a habit of binge eating, or out-of-control appetite. The good thing is that all of these issues can be resolved with techniques that anyone can learn from a high quality hypnotherapy weight loss CD program. To treat a lack of motivation, a technique from a technology called Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) will induce a strong desire to stick to your dieting goals. To begin, dieters pinpoint precisely what it is that is most important to them, as a person. This is called their \"highly valued criteria.\" Then, NLP techniques are applied to make the dieters feel that by losing weight, their highly valued criteria will become enhanced. An alternative is to make the dieter feel that if they do not lose weight, their highly valued criteria will be placed in jeopardy. Motivation comes from what we believe in, not from logic! So in the previous case, let us say that the dieter\'s most highly valued desire is that the dieter\'s children are happy and safe. Using an NLP tool called Submodalities, we can guide the dieter into feeling that if she or he is unable to lose weight, the children will be condemned to emulating their parent and they will be overweight and unhappy. This type of belief will provide a strong desire and feeling to stick to a diet and take the weight off. Several NLP techniques can help to reduce or even completely remove the urges and cravings that prompt one to eat too much. This works very well to help dieters stick to the first and most challenging weeks of the South Beach diet. Furthermore, helps dieters commit to an exercise program, which will increase the usefulness of any diet program. Stress is an issue that often drives people to eat too much or stop paying attention to their health, but stress-relief is offered by both hypnosis and NLP techniques. One such tool is called the NLP Flash. With this technique, having the unconscious use stressful thoughts as triggers for relaxing thoughts relieves the stress that causes the impulse to eat excessively. Out-of-control eating habits can also cause people to put on weight. A lot of people have seemingly unmanageable eating habits because over the years, they have developed a \"conditioned response\" to eat under certain circumstances. For example, many of us snack on junk food in front of the television even though we aren\'t actually hungry. The good thing is, hypnosis and NLP both have techniques that can quickly eliminate these conditioned responses. These techniques eliminate the appetite without drugs or pills. By targeting the underlying problems that prevent people from shedding pounds, NLP and hypnosis has helped many people finally get in the best shape of their lives. When used with the South Beach plan, dieters may enjoy easy weight loss and success at achieving their fitness goals.
